Sean Smith is a graduate student and instructional assistant in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University concentrating in digital media. He recently graduated summa cum laude from Sam Houston State University with a BA in Mass Communication, concentrating in multiplatform journalism and minoring in political science.

As an instructional assistant, he teaches Web Design & Publishing and assists in the Media Innovation Lab during the Spring 2018 semester. He was also selected to take part in the annual SXTXSTATE project, where mass communication graduate students attend SXSW Interactive and cover the event digitally.
